Last year I was asked to lead teacher training for the classical Christian academy where I taught. Our school was in its second year, and most of our teachers were new to classical education. I enjoyed conversations that naturally came up with other teachers, but I had a hard time pointing them to resources (many of them podcast episodes) that I've come across while learning about Classical Christian Education. I also wanted a way to share resources with parents.

As a former software engineer, I considered building an app where I could publish a custom podcast with "favorited" episodes from others' podcasts. As I was looking into this, I discovered that 1) I'd have to deal with licensing issues if I redistributed the content from others podcasts and 2) Spotify already has a feature allowing you to do this!

Initially I planned to call this playlist "Intro to Classical Christian Education" or "Becoming a Classical Teacher", but the more I thought about what episodes I wanted to include, I realized it spans so much more than classical pedagogy. Education is about paideia, and paideia starts at the home and extends into every part of our lives.

I'm am still building the playlist, and will likely rearrange episodes until I've collected all the episodes that I've listened to and benefitted from in the past. At that point I'll keep the existing episodes in order, and only add to the end of the list.
